Finish This

On Saturday morning, I usually... hit the snooze button 10 times/sleepily beg Parker to turn the alarm off. We wake up to an alarm every other day of the week, and I beg him every Friday night not not to set one for the following morning. There is something so nice about waking up on your own and not to an alarm. We don't have kids yet, so let's enjoy those lazy Saturday mornings! He likes to set an alarm so we don't sleep away the day. Sleep away, I say.

I feel beautiful when... I take my make-up off at the end of the day. This is sort of counter-intuitive since make-up is supposed to make us feel beautiful, but I feel most beautiful after I have washed my face and gotten into my comfy pajamas. I feel happy and relaxed, and I think that mindset allows me to feel beautiful. Side note: I probably only wear make-up 2 days a week since I work from home, so this is slightly ironic.

I wake up every morning... wishing it was Saturday. I just want to sleep! Really, the first thing we do when we wake up is invite Jenny into the bed for a 5 minute snuggle break before the day starts. I live for those sweet moments each morning when it's just me and my little family.

A happy home... is a home full of laughter, love, and Jesus, at least in my mind. We have a saying around here that home is where the Navy sends us. We've lived in 4 homes since we got married over 2.5 years ago, so it's hard for one house to feel like home. As long as I have Parker and the Jen pup, I'm home.

When I have down time, I... plop down on the couch and play a logic puzzle or a crossword. Nerd alert! I enjoy word games, and it's a good escape for me. Another good escape? Reality television. I kind of went the other way on that one.

Are you as obsessed with your Saturday morning slumbers as I am?

Linking up for Finish This series.

Taking off my makeup makes me feel beautiful, too. It helps when you have a husband that believes you're perfect with OR without it :)

Taking off make up is a good thing. You just feel like you can breathe good. :D Instead of being all clogged with make up. Feeling fresh is the best. :D And staying in bed a while is my fave thing to do. Just wish I had cable in my room then i could watch tv in bed :( maybe one day

LOVE THIS! Thanks for joining us for another week of Finish This. I completely understand your love and need for sleep. Kamden, our three month old son, is just like us and LOVES his sleep. In fact, he started sleeping through the night by five weeks. We hit the BABY JACKPOT with this kid!!!! He sleeps 10-12 hours every night, plus a 2-2.5 hour nap after lunch, plus a snooze-session or two throughout the day, especially if he's in the car. The kid loves to sleep and I'm grateful.

Funny you should mention cleaning your face at the end of the day, I'm right there with you! Question: what's your favorite facial cleanser? I'm in the market for something new, something fresh, something that makes me say 'awwww this feels amazing" at the end of the day. Plus, I'm 30 years old and feel like I need to invest more than a few bucks on skin care. I should probably stop buying the stuff I used in high school. HA!!!!!

I love waking up without an alarm. My husband is the worlds worst to set an alarm on the weekends. I've learned to totally ignore it. I enjoy sleeping my day away!

I love sleeping in on Saturdays too! I've even been going to the late service at church so I can sleep in on Sundays, too!
